“Good old fashion service in a clean, independent shop!”

| At the last day of our vacation, my family and I stranded in Monterey with a major break in the cooling system of our Chrysler Pacifica. The AAA tow-truck driver reckoned that if any place was able to help me out the same day, this was it. And he was right. An hour and half later I drove off with my cooling problem fixed, the system flushed and all the accessible 2 cents rings replaced by solid ones. Needless to say I was a happy camper and so was my family. If it weren't for Bo and company we wouldn't have made it home the same day. I wish I could find a shop like this in the San Jose area and Normandin Chrysler could kiss my business goodbye. They serviced my car 2 months ago and it came back with 2 of the reported problems not fixed, and now this. Thank you very much for the good old fashion service guys. Good luck with the business. You deserve it. | ||

| Driving to CHOMP to see my grandmother, my car slowly lost power and eventually stalled out. Smoke poured out of the engine and into the cabin. I panicked, jumped out, and locked my keys in the car. It was a bad day! As we waited for the tow truck, my mom told me all about a new auto ship that she had recently discovered and had the BEST experience with. She claimed that this new auto shop had saved her 20% off her last maintenance visit, and even more important was how incredibly nice the staff were. It turns out that she was raving about Pacific Motor Service! We had the car towed to PMS, and they were great! We will definitely be back again - but hopefully under better conditions! | ||

| My check engine light was set off by the gas cap not having a tight seal. Since it had gone off a month a half earlier, they checked the part they had replaced and noticed it was defective. They fixed this free of charge and saved me the hassle of having to bring in my car another time in the future, when it would have set off the light. | ||

| I checked all the reviews online before deciding on this shop for my Infiniti repairs, choosing it over the higher rated service that would offer 10% discounts just for being Military. We took our car in for a very basic fuse fix and were called later that day and told it would be a SIX HUNDRED DOLLAR fix. Remembering these reviews, and knowing that it was possible the car could have some minor damage remaining from an accident two years ago, we agreed. We showed up to the shop to pick up our car, after receiving no more price estimates for the next TWO days, and were floored by a bill over $1200. The management was NOT helpful, insisting that a service (wash and detail) that they threw in for free without being asked for was more than enough to account for the price doubling. When asked for a detailed account of the services performed, they gladly printed up a receipt telling us that they called multiple times to quote us these prices. So I walked away from their shop feeling ripped off, taken advantage of, and holding what amounted to forged paperwork stating what I agreed too. They took advantage of a young family (My husband and I are both obviously younger and I am 8 months pregnant) and judged us on the two cars in our family, the Infiniti and a Mustang. I hope they now realize that these cars were bought using money earned while serving our country overseas. They will never see another United States Marine in their "business" again! | ||

| Seems most reviews here are positive so not sure what happened on the day I visited but the service was nonexistent. Too busy on personal call to take care of my scheduled appt. After waiting 20 minutes I walked out only to be chased after and told I owed money for the service I never received?? | ||

| I've been going to Pacific Motor Service for years now and would never consider going anywhere else. Kevin has been more than helpful on several occasions including when I, as a single female, needed to sell a car. He offered to help and I gratefully accepted. When the car sold, he would not take any sort of a commission from me. The last time I was there, I worked with someone I had not met before, Beau, and again, everything was easy. They had me in and out in no time. I recommend Pacific Motor Service to all my friends and will continue to do so. | ||

| I needed to get my air conditioner fixed. I had called around at a number of auto repair places and none of them would really give me the time of day. I would ask how much it would cost to fix it they would tell me and then hang up. When I called Pacific Motor Service, Beau took the time to tell me how much it would cost, what they had to do to diagnose it, and how long it would take to fix it. I needed them to do a safety inspection and an oil change as well. They were able to get me in when I wanted to bring my car in without any problem. Beau called me back promptly to let me know what other potential issues there were with the car, but never pushed anything on me, which really was a breath of fresh air! They finished my car up in a timely manner and even threw in an economy detail. Can't get much better than that! | ||

| We continue to be utterly impressed by every aspect of Pacific Motor Service. We began to take our cars for service there about 24 years ago and were pleased then. Since Kevin Donohoe became owner, he has continued to improve service with personal integrity, concern for the environment, care for each customer's individual needs, utmost courtesy and wise hiring choices. He and his employees take the time to listen to us, explain their service in layman's terms, describe options, phone us with details if they discover additional service needs while they're working on our car, make good on any repair that has not yet solved the problem, and make it clear that they are there to serve their customers. Living on a budget, we consider the dollars we have spent on automotive services at Pacific Motor Service to have been extremely well spent. At the risk of sounding fanatically enthusiastic about this business, we nonetheless claim that it should appear in national news media on a list of the "Ten Best Small Businesses in America." | ||
